
The Supplier rents a wide range of quality campers, motorhomes, vanconversions, caravans, recreational vehicles, rvs and truck campers in Calgary, Alberta and Vancouver, British Columbia.
A circle trip of the west coast including Vancouver Island and leading up to the Olympic Village at Whistler BC are some of the most scenic wilderness adventures for holiday in a motorhome or truck/camper. Campervans and the Alberta Rockies are a great combination for summer getaways.
Camper and motorhome rentals are a very popular way to explore the Okanagan Valley, the Cariboo, the East and West Kootnay regions on your way to the Canadian Rockies in BC and Alberta Canada. The Supplier is also very close to Seattle Washington and the Olympic Peninsula from our rental station located near the Vancouver Airport in Richmond BC Canada.

with $5,000,000 public liability insurance to cover motor
vehicle accidents in the event that the Client is at fault.
Passengers must not exceed the seatbelt capacity of

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT (MVA)
In case of an accident, please notify the police and rental
station immediately. Obtain the name of the investigating
police department, the name, address, vehicle licence
number, driver’s licence number, and the insurance carrier
and policy number of the other vehicle. A police report is
required if damage exceeds $300 and/or there are injuries.

DRIVING HABITS • Damage to the rear, sidewalls and overhead
parts of the motorhome occur primarily when driving the vehicle
in campgrounds, parking lots and service stations. These accidents
can be avoided by being aware of overhead objects, driving slowly,
and having someone outside the vehicle as a guide in tight situations
and when backing up. |

SECURITY DEPOSITS
Security Deposits are paid by clients:
1. $1500 deposit when CDW is taken - $15 per day ($900/$400 deductible).
2. $1500 deposit when VIP is taken - $25 per day ($600/$300 deductible).
3. $1000 deposit when LDW is taken - $30 per day ($300/$200 deductible).
INSURANCE COVERAGE
All vehicles are insured for$5,000,000 public liability insurance. Premiums for this basic insurance are included in all rental rates, with standard deductible of $4500 per occurence.
CDW - COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER
The deductible for MVA damage is reduced to $900 ($300 for windshields) with the purchase of CDW at $15/day.
Comprehensive coverage is $400 deductible.
VIP INSURANCE – VACATION INTERRUPTION PROTECTION
The deductible for MVA damage is reduced to $600 ($200 for windshields) with the purchase of VIP at $25per day.
VIP also covers pre-approved expenses for accommodation, and transportation (excluding fuel and food) up to the amount of the daily rental rate in the event of a mechanical breakdown requiring the vehicle to be in for repair for more than 12 hours.
Mechanical breakdown does not include the malfunctions of the radio/CD player, air conditioner, stove, oven, microwave oven, refrigerator/freezer, generator, furnace, water pump/water heater, or any appliance. VIP applies only if mechanical breakdown to be repaired is for more than 12 hours after being reported to the appropriate rental station.
Maximum liability coverage for Vacation Interruption Protection is $1500 per rental. Customers must present receipts for refund of expenses for car rental and accommodation.
VIP is not valid in event of a motor vehicle accident. VIP does not include coverage for personal injury.
LDW COVERAGE - LOSS DAMAGE WAIVER
LDW includes all the benefits of VIP coverage. The deductible for MVA damage is reduced to $300 with the purchase of LDW at $30 per day.
Loss of use charges result from single vehicle or third party accidents when damage to the rented vehicle renders it inoperable. Loss of use charges are based on the daily rental rate while the rented vehicle is out of service.
The Client will not be required to pay for Loss of Use of the vehicle with the purchase of Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) at $30 per day. LDW coverage includes Vacation Interruption Coverage (VIP) up to $1500 per rental.
In the event of a motor vehicle accident a Police Report is required for insurance coverage to be effective. Losses not covered by insurance are specified and do not require a police report.
The Client may be required to pay the Crash Responsibility Charge of up to $250 that may be levied by the Insurance Corporation of BC in the event of the client causing an accident.
Security deposits are held by The Supplier until all costs for damage are finalized, and/or such time as the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia has determined damage liability.
BREAKDOWN AND REPAIRS
The Client acknowledges the possibility of a mechanical failure or breakdown, and acknowledges that such occurrence is an inherent contingency associated with the operation of the vehicle, and that such contingency is beyond the control of the Company. The Client agrees to hold the Company harmless from and against any loss of time, transportation costs, inconvenience, and loss of food in the vehicle, and any and all expenses resulting from such contingency in the event of mechanical failure or breakdown.
The Company will make all reasonable efforts to assist the Client to obtain help or arrange for repairs, subject to the location of the vehicle and business hours of the repair facilities.
Damage Assessment
for incidental Damage
A Damage Assessment Fee of $250 may be charged for each occurrence of incidental damage caused to the vehicle.
Incidental damage includes damage caused by backing into stationary objects, scraping against stationary objects, striking the roof and sidewalls, rock chips and interior damage.
Damage to the rear, sidewalls, roof and air conditioner on the camper or motorhome can be avoided by being aware of overhead objects, driving slowly in campgrounds, parking lots and service stations, and having someone outside the vehicle as a guide in tight situations and when backing up.
Any additional documentation of incidental damage that may be required by the provider of third party insurance coverage will incur additional administration fees.
The Supplier urges clients to be particularly careful of the vehicle to avoid incidental damage. Motor vehicle accidents that require a Police Report are not considered to be incidental damage.
Loss of Use Caused By Accidents
Under terms of the Rental Agreement, the Client is responsible for loss and damage to the rented vehicle, even if caused by someone else, or the cause is unknown. Limits of liability are determined by the type of Optional Insurance Coverage offered by Westcoast Mountain Campers Ltd. Clients will not be charged for Loss of Use when Loss Damage Waiver is purchased. Loss of use charges result from single vehicle or third party accidents when damage to the rented vehicle renders the rented vehicle inoperable or unusable. The time to repair the vehicle is determined by the final completion date of the repairs. The time to replace a vehicle is determined by the delivery date if a replacement vehicle is returned to our rental station.
The time to repair or replace a vehicle may well extend beyond the drop-off date on the Rental Agreement.
The Supplier reserves the right to provide an alternative type of vehicle to the Client in the event of an accident that causes the rental vehicle to be inoperable or unusable. Clients must return to the rental station at their cost to obtain another rental vehicle. |
